| Booklet 08 - Marmon-Herrington | ||||||
During the development of the Marmon-Herrington, this early developmental model revealed the "driver roof" was too steep. It was set aside then repurposed first to test a general "SdKfz" look & feel, then to test details such as the antenna construction method and the canvas cover for the spare wheel. |
||||||
Notice the difference between SdKfz 247(e) slimmer tyres and the spare wheel in this early model. |
This model was later used during the development of the Renault AHN to test the paint tone for the canvas. |
| Booklet 12 - Renault AHS with wood gas generator | ||||||
Several special features were piled on this miniature: separated headlights, open door, open sideboard, wood gas generator and modified cargo bed. The paint situation got somewhat out of hand because I was also testing a new spray paint as a base layer and also because I misjudged the colour mix to get a light blue. |
||||||
Some drybrushing has been applied to the wood gas generator disks. |
This shot is important because it helps to see how much of the cabin details we can see with a door open. |
| Booklet 12 - Instandsetzung vehicle | ||||||
This vehicle, with the complete name "Instandsetzungskraftwagen (IKW) für FuSE 62" is mentionned but barely shown in the booklet, however it is historically correct. This was one of the 10 vehicles (based on the number of chassis) that were painted in the making of booklets 11 and 12. |
||||||
| Booklet 12 - Modularity | ||||||
Because the models I make are essentially demonstrators, none of the cabins were glued to their chassis. This allows to save time and effort in making these booklets. |
||||||
All miniatures made for booklets n°11 and 12, including the early prototypes and the unfinished models. |
For the AHN vehicles painted in "Dark Grey" I used only one set of two axles and two cabins. |
