Born 1974 in France, as a child I used to play with the somewhat affordable Matchbox 1:76 models and Airfix plastic soldiers one could find at the supermarket. Of course the models I was looking for were not always available, and I seldom had the budget I wanted. After a while these models disappeared from the shelves altogether, and I moved on to other hobbies.

The fantasy miniatures market always was beyond my financial reach, but tabletop roleplaying games didn't require any investment at all if one had imagination. In the links below, you can find an RPG in french I developped into two connected universes in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Now I have a medical condition where I quickly lose concentration and can become very tired. I am still able to work for a few hours a day, sometimes more sometimes less, so I decided to develop the "Toothpick Miniatures" project to help me go though a daily routine and possibly achieve something.

My intention is to provide an option for those who don't have money for miniatures or wargaming, something akin to free tabletop RPGs.

Hopefully, the methods I show in this project can help other people to invent models of their own. There is also a pedagogic value in these booklet, with which middle schooler can familiarise themselves with aspects of technology, mathematics, history and even the english language.
